Family Services, provided by ABA Behavioral Specialists’ expert team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and registered behavior therapists (RBTs), constitutes a wide range of behavior support services to children, adolescence and adults as well as their families. Our behavioral therapists provide in-home services for a number of diagnoses, including ASD, ADHD, ODD, Down syndrome, Fragile X, and other behavioral or learning disabilities or dual diagnoses.

By working with patients and their parent/guardian, we are able to develop an individualized plan that is right for the individual and works with the family’s insurance coverage.

Our ABA therapy utilizes a unique approach that combines discrete trial training and natural environment training. Behavior consultants develop a therapy plan based on an individual’s assessment that determines specific social, communication, academic, functional skills and self-help needs. Behavior consultants also provide training for parents so they can help meet the needs of their children.

The Family Services therapy we provide includes:

  • 1:1 Behavior Therapy – This encompasses the whole individual ABA therapy plan that our experts will determine for the individual in need after a standardized assessment takes place.

  • Discrete Trial Training (DTT) – DTT is an ABA technique that breaks down each new skill or lesson into small, “discrete” components. The RBT then teaches each component separately to complete the whole skill, celebrating and rewarding the desired behavior along the way. DTT relies on consistent repetitive training prompts, modeling and positive reinforcement.

  • Natural Environment Training (NET) – NET incorporates instruction of new skills or using learned skills into the individual’s natural environment. It can incorporate activities and materials from the individual’s natural environment that they show interest in to help in their ABA therapy.

  • Parent Training – To be successful with behavior-based therapies, the family must be involved. By training the parents, they can help their children accomplish goals and practice skills when the RBT or BCBA is not around.

  • Individualized Programming – Each individual is different with differing needs. That is why we develop a plan tailored to the individual, working in cooperation with all other providers and your insurance.

Our RBTs often implement the program that is created and overseen by a BCBA. With ABA in-home therapy, it is important to take a collaborative approach. As such, we work directly with other services providers, such as occupational/physical/speech therapists, private providers, insurance companies and schools.
